Lawful Good is one of nine alignments, or character orientations, from the tabletop RPG 🛒Dungeons & Dragons. „Lawful“ means that the character has a strong sense of order, law, and morality. They believe in a system of rules and guidelines and adhere strictly to them. „Good“ shows that the character fundamentally has good intentions and strives to do the right thing and help others.  Lawful-Good-characters are therefore often the moral compass of D&D parties and often have problems with straying from the law-abiding path. Due to the narrow-mindedness of some Lawful-Good-characters, some D&D players also call the alignment “Lawful Stupid”.

This does not mean, however, that all characters with a Lawful Good alignment are the same. Not every Lawful Good character has to be a religious fanatic or a righteous knight. How Lawful manifests in characters is completely different.
